Well, folks, today is April 17th, which is this year's tax filing deadline day here in the good old US of A. We beat this subject to death last week, so I'm only going to offer one quick bit of advice before we move on.
Make sure your return is completed in a legible fashion (no chicken scratch allowed), folded nice and neat, stapled if multiple pages, signed in all the right places, a check enclosed if you owe money (ouch), and that the envelope is sealed and stamped.
My accountant tells me that most audits are triggered by sloppy paperwork and bad penmanship, so remember what your 1st grade teacher told you: make sure your work is nice and neat before you turn it in.
