Entrepreneurs Are Always Judged By Their Covers
In business and in life people judge you everyday, just as you judge everyone else. And most of us base our opinion of others on our first impression of them.
We make the decision to either like them or loath them within the first minute and you know as well as I do, my holier-than-thou peers, that we do not do business with people that we don’t like. First impressions are hard to change, so make every effort to make every first impression a good one.
Now some of you may find it offensive that we live in such a judgmental world, but consider this: if you were to consult a brain surgeon and he came in wearing a dirty t-shirt, baggy jeans that dipped below the waist of his boxer shorts, and worn out flip flops, how much trust would you have that this person was capable of working on your brain?
Probably not too much.

Debuts On CBS TV
For a while now I've been doing a "small business minute" feature on the radio called "Mind Your Own Business With Tim Knox." Basically I record one business tip per week and the audio is broadcast via radio.
Now I'm taking this feature to television, starting with WHNT-TV, the CBS affiliate here in Huntsville. The format is a little different for TV, but the end result is the same.
Every week I'll be on set answering questions that have been submitted by viewers.

I've just launched a brand new website for my book "Everything I Know About Business I Learned From My Mama."
The site not only showcases the book, but also features a "Meet Tim's Mama" section, photos from my recent book signings, sample chapters, and more.
One thing I discovered during this process is there are only two existing pictures of my and Mama when I was small and both are on the site. Mama always hated having her picture taken, though now that she's a big celebrity it seems to be getting easier and easier for her. :o)
